TO: All Lode Runner Fans FROM: Joel DeSelm RE: New Levels Yes, puzzling fans, back by popular demand is, yet, another installment of the wildly exciting and challenging "OVERLODE" series of Loderunner levels. In this series of new levels, there are twenty-five new and ingenious levels. As in the original "Overlode" series, these fun and nasty little levels range from medium to difficult in terms of skill. They have been thoroughly and carefully play-tested. I'm confident that you will discover some things about the characteristics of this game that you never knew before. All of these levels are "conquerable" so don't give up. Some of them are down right nasty! There are a number of things I purposely did NOT do in these levels. I did not create any "night" missions in that I feel they are unfair and didn't add that much to the game. I also tried very hard not to put alot sinking floors and hidden items in these levels. On a number of levels, there aren't even any monks because the level is tricky enough and plain crazy enough without them! So instead of making a level where you simply get the daylights wailed out of you by a myriad of monks, in the OVERLODE series you have to use your head, use simple logic, and be creative in your problem solving. I think you'll find these levels to be pure puzzling and ingenious gaming. I think that you will be challenged for many hours. Another special feature in a number of these levels is a built in "HINT." Simply go to the "edit" mode of the game and click on the tool bar icon at the bottom of the screen that has the capital letter "A" and it will bring up the hint screen. Click on the words and cursor along the sentence. It should be of enormous assistance. I would encourage you not to "cheat" to solve these levels. What I mean by that is to simply go into the "edit" mode and see the entire level in its completed form. Only wimps do that. Play the levels on the "up and up" and only resort to the HINT or the "cheat mode" as a last resort. If you still can't solve the level as it stands, let me know. My e-mail address is: JOEL4IU @ AOL.COM or JLDESELM@TAYLORU.EDU or you can contact me on the Sierra Web Page. Happy solving and please upload some more of your own homemade levels for me to solve.
