TO: All Lode Runner Fans FROM: Joel DeSelm RE: New Levels For those of you who are married, your spouse just isn't going to understand. He/she is about to become another "computer widow" (or "widower"). For those of you who are single... well, there goes the old social life for awhile. "WHY?" you ask. Because you have just downloaded another installment of the wildly addictive, mentally stimulating, and frustration-causing "OVERLODE" series of Loderunner levels! Yes, fans, here we go another round. You all know the routine by now. As always, in this file there are 25 new levels of madcap mayhem. (If you are new to the series, be sure to check out the previous installments of the series. In all, there are nearly 350 levels!) The levels range from medium to difficult in terms of skill level. As I've said on the previous versions (and I can say once again with complete confidence), I believe that you will discover some things about the characteristics of this game that you never knew before. And, once again, all of these levels are "conquerable" and carefully thought out. DISCLAIMER: For those of you with weak hearts, do NOT play these levels. They will cause you too much stress and pressure! As with the previous 12 installments in the OVERLODE series, there are a number of things I purposely did NOT do in these levels. I did not create any "night" missions in that I feel they are unfair and didn't add that much to the game. I also tried very hard not to put alot sinking floors and hidden items in these levels. Rather, I stuck primarily to solid puzzling and ingenious gaming. I think that you will be challenged for many hours. Most of you folks out there in cyberspace are quite familiar with the "OVERLODE" series. But for you rookies, you'll be pleased to know that I've included a special feature in each of these levels that serves as a "hint." It's practically a "walkthrough" of the level. To find the hint for a given level, simply click on the tool bar icon at the bottom of the screen that has the capital letter "A" and it will bring up the hint screen. Click on the words and cursor along the sentence. I would encourage you not to "cheat" to solve these levels. What I mean by that is to simply go into the "edit" mode and see the entire level in its completed form. Only wimps do that. Play the levels on the "up and up" and only resort to the HINT or the "cheat mode" as a last resort. If you still can't solve the level as it stands, let me know. My e-mail address is: JOEL4IU@aol.com and you can rest assured that I will respond to any and all questions, gripes, concerns, and cries for help. (Isn't that right Craig, Ellen, Kerry, Nathan, etc.?) Happy solving and please upload some more of your own homemade levels for me to solve.
